What is the SCRIP Program? The SCRIP Program us a year-round school fundraiser.

What is SCRIP? SCRIP is a paper certificate or card used as a substitute for money in exchange for goods or services.  It has also been referred to as a “Gift Certificate or Gift Card”.

How does it work?

1.  St. Stanislaus Parish School purchases SCRIP from local and national merchants in bulk, at a discount.  Merchants offer the discount because it’s a convenient way for them to retail business and secure new customers.

2.  St. Stanislaus Parish School sells SCRIP to supporters for full face value

3.  Supporters use SCRIP to pay for goods and services they would routinely buy without paying any additional monies for their  purchases

4.  St. Stanislaus Parish School keeps the difference between the discount price at which it bought the SCRIP and the full face value at which it sold the SCRIP to supporters.

Where do I buy SCRIP:  SCRIP is ordered through the office on a prepaid basis.  Orders will be placed weekly.  Order frequency may increase with demand.  Standing monthly orders are a convenient way to meet your obligation.

For which vendors is SCRIP available? We will maintain a current list of available SCRIP through Great Lakes and some local vendors.  A current list is available at link at the top of the page.

What is my SCRIP obligation?     At the beginning of each school year, each family is asked to commit to generate a $200 return through the purchase of SCRIP between May 1st and April 30th, or you may also choose to "buy out" and pay $400.  If a family has children at both St. Stanislaus and Central Catholic, the requirement is $150 profit for that period of time.  Due to the various benefit amounts from the vendors, it is not possible to estimate the purchase amount for each family, but the following will serve as an example.  SCRIP purchase for O'Briens is 5%, if you purchase $400 a month for 10 months, you wil have generated $200 profit.

What percentage of my SCRIP purchases do I earn?  Discount percentages are unique to the vendor and the amounts occasionally change, however, we try to maintain a list of the most current information.

What happens to the money earned beyond my $200 obligation?  50% of the excess amount is counted as a CREDIT toward tuition for the follow school year.

What happens if I don't meet my $200?  If at least $100 is generated, you will be billed for $100.  If less than $100 is generated, you will be billed for the $400 buy-out amount.
